Miramar , FL– Students in Professor Jack J. Rose’s Business Expo class proudly showcased their businesses at the Winter Business Expo at United International College on March 9th, which was attended by students, faculty, administration, and the community. Prior to executing their own expo, the students attended the Senior Expo held recently at the Big Easy Casino so they could see a professional trade show and interact with the different expo participants.
The students were challenged to produce promotional marketing materials, including business cards, brochures, flyers, and a complete social media marketing campaign for their product or service.
Ximena Caraballo is the owner of XC Event Planners whose mission is to offer clients a personalized service in planning and executing a special event that will forever be a memorable occasion for the client and their guests. Ximena proudly showcased her company and partnered with other students to showcase their businesses in transportation, music, florist, photography, and catering.
Chef Juan Leal’s business focuses on exclusive catering by creating individual menus for his clients. Chef Juan Leal specializes in the best paellas, satisfying clients by using quality ingredients and flavorful spices. All attendees who sampled his paella raved about the taste and Chef Leal booked three future events.
Tai’s Nails & Lashes is a business that student Duong Linh hopes to expand. Tai’s professional nail care for women and men has teamed up with XC Event Planners by providing the bride with a free manicure and pedicure if the bridal party comes into the salon as a group 4-6 hours before the wedding.
What is any event without music – the universal language that brings us together! Jesus Pineda, owns JP Guitar Services and Entertainment. He is certainly proud of his well-deserved name as a Music Entertainer. Jesus showcased his talents at the recent Arts Night Out at United International College.
Orlando Landinez is the owner of Prime Transportation and prides his company by offering customer service excellence. A former Lyft and Uber driver, Orlando is proud of his 5-star rating given by his many clients over the past three years. Orlando has also partnered with XC Events and has been named the official transportation provider for XC Event.
Luis Vega promoted his HAIM Visitor Management System, which is a modern visitor access software program that enhances control that residents have over who has access to their gated communities. The system is affordable since there is no expensive hardware, no implementation cost, and low maintenance cost. Residents pre-authorize visitors by sending a one time or custom pass code via text message generated by the mobile app. Security guard at the gate verifies the validity of the pass code to allow or deny guest entry. The visitor gains entry to the gated community.
Marian Leal proudly showcased her company, Bridging Marketing, which offers consulting and coaching services, social media and management services, website and graphic design services, video and photography. Her slogan certainly highlights her goals and wishes for a successful company – “Empowering your digital dreams and taking your business ahead.”

US Global Equipment Solutions has targeted small and midsize businesses based primarily in South and Central America. In the United States his company intends to operate in the surplus parts business because many of the machines used around the world cannot enter the country due to the stricter laws regarding the emission of pollutants.
