UIC’s Model of Holistic Education


The UIC’s Model of Holistic Education aims to develop students in their total capacities considering their physical, intellectual, energetic, emotional, moral and spiritual bodies. UIC’s Model of Holistic Education develops professionals knowledgeable about their fields of study with an interdisciplinary focus, with social consciousness, with ethics, and creative thinking. In addition, UIC’s students develop with a high multicultural awareness that enables them to make decisions with creative impetu.

Thus, the UIC’s Model of Holistic Education comprehends six areas of development: 1) Intellectual Development 2) Entrepreneurial Spirit 3) Social Consciousness 4) Ethical Mindfulness 5) Multicultural Awareness 6) Emotional intelligence.
