About the Program Director
Dr. Juan Carlos Ramirez, DHS, ARNP, FNP-BC, MSN, MBA, S.F.R.C.

Professor Juan Ramirez is a dedicated, passionate instructor with more than 20 years committed to educating healthcare professionals, from undergraduate to graduate levels; Dr. Ramirez specializes in making students develop a comprehensive understanding of the bio-psycho-social model as a base to enhance clinical skills while developing a better understanding of basic sciences. Dr. Ramirez has held positions as Faculty member at major colleges and universities and has also been serving National organizations in both educational areas as well as the healthcare industry. Professor Ramirez graduated from NOVA Southeastern University with a doctoral degree in health sciences; Florida International University with a master’s degree in nursing; University of Miami with a master’s degree in healthcare management and a specialization in policy making; and Universidad Libre with a degree in medicine and surgery. Furthermore, Professor Ramirez is a board-certified nurse practitioner.

Professor Ramirez has dedicated his career to assist students to reach a higher understanding of their professional life and responsibilities in the healthcare field as a way to improve the overall health status of the communities.
